Ahhh...the good old days! Back when I was in high school a Manly vs Newcastle clash was just the ducks guts! You talked bout it all week. You knew that it would be a good game. But best of all, you know Mark Carroll and Paul Harrigan would do everything they could to kill one another.

The 1970 Grand Final, Manly vs South Sydney. Souths captain John Sattler (Pictured) has his jaw smashed in the 5th minute. Sattler got up....dragged himself back into the defensive line and played on. Imagine walking down to the local shops with a broken jaw. Sattler play in a Grand Final....in one of the toughest eras ever....for 75 minutes! The Rabbitohs went on to win the game and Sattler stamped his place in sporting history with his guts performance.
